Personally I am the Founder, Organizer and Chair Judge of the competition accompanied by Valentino Minotti.
Let's go in order and let me introduce myself, I'm Antonio Palmarini, Abruzzese since birth, raised in Bellante in the province of Teramo who emigrated to London in 2010 to be able to study and practice international wines. I have achieved the level 3 of the WSET, “Wine and Spirit Education Trust” and am studying for the fourth and final level. I have been working for about 16 years in catering and I have had several experiences as a Sommelier and Head Sommelier among the most popular restaurants in London.
I like to remember the experience of Ast. Head Sommelier at "Petrus" by Gordon Ramsay, the one of Head Sommelier at "Royal Thames Yacht Club", Regional Sommelier at "Piccolino" and at other Michelin-starred restaurants where I tasted the most expensive wines in the world.
I was also Semi-Finalist at "The Best UK Sommelier 2019", and I am a wine judge of 4 out of 5 competitions in London of the caliber of SWA (Sommelier Wine Award), LWC (London Wine Competition), IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) and IWC (International Wine Challenge).
I have tasted well over 20.000 wines from all over the world and amongst the most prestigious ones, I have given a score to more than 2.400 labels in Vivino showing passion, dedication and love about my profession.
Alongside me there will be Valentino Minotti, with an incredible CV Ast. Head Sommelier at the starred michelin restaurant "Chez Bruce" and now owner of the international wine import and distribution company, Shelved Wines Ltd.
In addition, in every edition we will be accompained by a regional expert of wine that she/he will help the organization and the realisation of the event
